Keynote Speaker: Marianne Simonsen

Professor of Economics at Aarhus University, Department of Economics and Business Economics
Research fellow at at CESifo and IZA

Marianne Simonsen is professor at the Department of Economics and Business Economics, Aarhus University and a research fellow at CESifo and IZA. Her academic interests lie within family, health and labour economics.  She currently explores how reforms of welfare policies affect children's wellbeing and human capital; the role of universal parenting support during the transition to parenthood; and how to support children who grow up in families plagued by substance use problems. Since 2023, she has also been editor at Scandinavian Journal of Economics.

The French Association of Population Economists (Association Française des Économistes de la Population – AFÉPOP) was founded in September 2023. Its objective is to federate and promote a thriving network of researchers in population economics. AFÉPOP organizes events that bring together scholars to favour collaborative work in the field.
